E-Visa Drop-in Sessions – Leeds, Barnsley, Doncaster

23rd October 2024 by ficheb

Migrant Action Leeds and C La Vie Consultancy partnership to provide E-Visa assistance by migrants for migrants, to achieve solidarity and mutual understanding between all migrants.

FAQs

BRP stands for Biometric Residence Permit

On 31/12/2024 anyone who does not convert to digital status (Evisa) will not be able to prove status for right to work, rent or access benefits. The Home Office will NOT provide new BRP

Any BRP/BRC holders and people with leave to remain stamps in their passports must convert to Evisa. This includes children. If anyone has the old stamp of leave to remain in old passport then those need to apply for BRP first and then convert it.

All you need is your tangible BRP/document, an email and a mobile.

For support to apply for status, you need to contact an immigration advisor or lawyer.

If you have lost your BRP, you need to apply for a replacement first and then convert to Evisa

All those with ILR under Windrush are affected and need to convert to Evisa.

EU/EEA Citizens with pre settled or full settled are not affected by this as their status is already digital.
